“We spent 1st Christmas ( 25th December, 2025) in the Brasserie. Our waiter was a well trained, friendly and very helpful! He told us about his short travel to Angola when he was very young. It’s a pity we couldn’t reward him with a good compliment because I guess his time was due to go home (around 15:15) neither did we asked for his name. Compliments mr. X!!!”

“I visited Van der Valk Hotel in Sneek yesterday for lunch, and overall, it was a nice experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxing and modern, with a lot of natural light and a comfortable layout. It’s a great place to enjoy a casual meal, whether you're there for business or just passing through. The lunch itself was tasty and well-prepared. The menu has a good variety of options, from sandwiches and salads to warm dishes. I chose something light, and it arrived fresh and nicely presented. Everything looked clean and inviting, and the portion size was just right. There was a little confusion with the staff at one point, which caused a small delay. Nothing major, but it did create a slightly awkward moment. Luckily, the situation was resolved fairly quickly and politely. Service overall was friendly, and the team tried their best to keep things running smoothly. I appreciated the calm and open vibe of the place, and the location is super convenient if you're traveling by car or just exploring the area. All in all, Van der Valk Sneek is a solid choice for lunch. I’d definitely come back and would also like to try their dinner sometime!”

“I’ve stayed in many hotels across the Netherlands, and I have to say: not all 4‑star hotels are the same. This one is simply outstanding – it could easily compete with, and even surpass, some 5‑star hotels. The rooms are huge, the overall spaces are very spacious and modern, and everything feels fresh and new. The level of comfort and quality is just amazing – I was truly impressed. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant are both first‑class, absolutely top level. The only minor note: sometimes there’s only one person at the reception, so if there are many guests, you may need to wait a bit. Also, the self check‑out monitor didn’t work for me – the instructions didn’t quite match the actual machine, and scanning the key card didn’t go through. But honestly, this is a tiny detail compared to the overall experience. Overall, a rock‑solid 5‑star experience. Highly recommended!”

“Right by the highway, with a nice mini lake view, it's a good starting point (or resting point) for your excursions. There are a few short walking/biking tracks around the lake and woods. Good breakfast selection, delicious dinner .”
